Forever Young

Humanity's rainbow has no pots of gold at the end,
           but pans of unity, which is all the wealth we might need,
                  and such a sanctuary is sought by all the little teenagers,
                        the one's with the pen marked peace symbols on their wrists,
                              and their idealistic virtue and thoughts of true love
                                         and hearing the songs that elude other's hateful ears.

Because we are awkward and we want sweet touch and sweet feeling,
          we breed from impulse and bleed from jealousy,
we refuse to conform to any structure,
    yet we want nothing more then to be understood by everyone.

From that time when we sprout and our ideas begin to be less biased and based,
         the short time before we have to report to rush hour,
                  a few minutes after we first notice our first crush,
                      right when we have our first kiss,
         the moment when our lips touch and everything is brighter.
You feel like flowers are going to burst from the pit of your stomach,
         because inside you butterflies are fluttering puckishly and you feel all is right in the world,
yet you feel hunger, but a happy hunger, one that sends you dreaming of your next meal,
    craving kisses and hellos, but not goodbyes and the sweet taste of recklessness.

If we could simplify ourselves to that world,
         the world that's as simple as it's spherical nature,
              but as meaningful as the shapes in the clouds,
                    and more then just a paycheck or a dollar sign,
                         living everyday as a rainbow, with as many colors as we can fit,
       endless and pure and unique yet united as one then we'd be…
